Essential Qualifications :
Project Fellow: M. Sc. in Agriculture or Plant Sciences in Plant Pathology/ Plant Physiology with at least 55% aggregated marks with NET.
Senior Project Fellow: M. Sc. in Agriculture or Plant Sciences in Plant Pathology/ Plant Physiology and with minimum one research publication in SCI Journal and with 1 year of additional experience in the respective fields in case of agriculture or 2 years in case of Plant Science or
B.Sc. (Ag.) with at least 55% marks and one publication in SCI journal and should have completed at least 3 years of research experience.
Age: Age limit for Project Assistants / Project assistant level II and Project fellow / Senior Project Fellow / Research Associate shall be 25 / 28 / 32 / 35 years (Relaxation as per CSIR rules), respectively as on the date of the interview. The initial appointment initially for one year and may be extended till the duration of the project depending upon of his/her progress/performance.
No traveling or any other allowances will be paid for attending the interview and the Candidate must come prepared to join immediately if selected.
CSMCRI is a national research laboratory under CSIR, which is well equipped with research facilities of international standards. CSIR-CSMCRI is embarking upon an important multi-institutional multi-crop project to demonstrate and test the efficacy of its technology on liquid seaweed sap on pan-India basis. Applications are invited from highly motivated and energetic individuals for the positions of Project Assistants at various levels, to work on different facets related to the project for implementing trials in various agro-climatic regions of the country and studies towards deeper understanding of the associated mechanisms. All the project personnel employed would be expected to travel widely and may be stationed at different locations away from the headquarters anywhere in India for some time or for the entire tenure, as deemed necessary. One of the positions (Project assistant level II) is related to Jatropha project under collaboration with GM and US department of Energy and 04 positions of Project assistants are for project on micropropagation of Jatropha under MNRE project.
The candidates should bring all the certificates and supporting documents in original to verify their age and educational qualification on the date of the interview. If the numbers of candidates are high, the selection of candidates will be done by conducting a screening written test followed by personal interview of the short listed candidates on the same day
