To enhance business the industries, target industries in the areas where the institute has created experites (capabality) have been identified. As a result of interaction with these industries, basic and application oriented research could be taken up as collaborative programmers which in the long run could culminate into sponsored project and/or development of explitable technologies. Simultaneously, our efforts are also directed towards identifying partners for scale up work and also to exploit commerically interesting research finding generated.
Marketing and business development is being enhances through

• Collaborating with financial institutions such as GSFC etc. and
• Interaction with Govt. agencies for identifying projects of socioeconomic importance.
• New markets are being developed through assessing the requirements of customers. Where the capabilities are not fully available,we endeavour to develop the same in-house. This helps to develop new market and customers, besides orienting our R & D groups towards the need of the industry.

Analytical Services

Analytical Sciences Division of our Institute houses state-of-art analytical instruments provides analysis comprising elemental composition, chromatography, diffraction, particle/material characteristics including microscopy and various spectroscopies. Analytical Science Division provides analytical support and intellectual input to both in-house and externally funded R & D projects of the Institute.

The division also provides analytical services and intellectual input to outside users as well comprising industries, academic institutions, universities and research institutions on payment basis. The facilities housed (see the list below) are one of the few unique one-roof places for availing such analytical services in Gujarat. We are also involved in method development for various analytical need-based problems.

Conducting seminars in industrial areas related to the expertise of the Institute and in consonanse with our strength, capabilities and expertise would be tried in near future. Arranging demonstration of process and working units, viz. ED units, RO plants,herbal extract concentrator, brine density device, iodine testing kit etc. would also be used as a tool for enhancing business development
